Tags Available!

The Wordpress upgrade now made it possible to go tag-crazy! Tags give you the ability to assign unlimited “subjects” to your blogs, and you can view a “Tag Cloud” of your posts (look at this example, at the bottom of the page). Categories are the primary “folders” or ways to organize your Blog, and you should normally assign your post to just one category. But with tags, you might assign many different ones to a post.

You should now see an “Add Tag” thing on your Blog front-end. It appears at the end of each post, and it looks like this:

the new \'add tag\' widget
the new \'add tag\' widget

Also, in your Dashboard you should now be able to manage your tags. Go to “Manage” and you’ll see “Tags” as something to manage.

For those who used “Ultimate Tag Warrior” (like you, Joe), you need to import those tags into your blog (Go to Manage/Import).

NOTE: If tags are not getting displayed on your posts, your “theme” may need to get upgraded. Let me know.

If you don’t see the “Add Tags” thing, or have other questions about tagging, post a comment, below…
