I finally read through this blog - I am so on the same page - it is so easy to default to self-protect mode - the keep our walls up.

I have been thinking about this as well. How I am so lazy when it comes to seeking people out and really loving them and not just thinking or talking about it.

Where I stumble is that I somehow get deceived that I can love people under my own power, or I have been “born again of imperishable seed.”

What a beautiful tribute and a heartwarming reminder to all of us who have lost someone dear that life does go on in all its beauty and chaos for those of us who remain here on earth, knowing our loved one is watching (probably in amusement) and waiting.

turned out good. well, basically, I just avoided the issue by planning on going to the honors college at akron, so my dad thinks it’s “good” enough for me, and my mom is pretty much behind anything I do. well, they both are, really. anyway, it’s working out, even if i never really had to take a stand, since i guess it wasn’t that big of a problem to begin with.

Yea, it was an awesome time that morning. I’ve never seen the sky shed so many different colors! Last year was not as beautiful as this year’s sunrise. The vibrant flashes and blotches of pink, orange, and yellow… It was truly magnificent in every way. And then having all the people come out to relate under the beautiful sky. It was such an awesome moment. I won’t forget it for a long time…

By the way, that’s not Lauren, that’s Doddette! (Katelyn Dodd)…

Heh, that actually makes me think back of last year’s camping. I really did hate the ride back, knowing that my old life is just waiting for me and to start it’s old crap again. But while I was there, it was the greatest experience I could ever ask for. Sometimes I still wish I could go back and just live in that weekend for the rest of my life.

I love posts about books! Some of that dream sounds kind of like Revelations, or even Romans. It’s been so long since I read that book (and I was probably too young to really get it) that I only remember the main plot and few key scenes. I remember liking it, though. And I’m glad you liked it and got your work finished. Yay!

Oh Kalie, what a sweet blog! I’m filing this one away for future reference, because I know I’ll need it, and others will too!

BTW, there’s probably NOTHING more breaking than working with High School students, unless it’s working with COLLEGE students!
